Created right here in the Territory, this map took several months to complete, consisting of many 4WD trips and approximately 80 hours of drawing time. I’m lucky enough to call Darwin home and it has been an absolute pleasure to create this map that celebrates the NT's people, wild places and nature.
These beautifully made prints are perfect for those who want a special art piece to celebrate the Territory, either for their own homes or as a gift for someone special. Please read the artist note below for the details of this particular map.

A NOTE FROM THE ARTIST OF THE NORTHERN TERRITORY MAP
I couldn’t resist adding in a bunch of local favourites to this particular artwork; this really is a Territory map for Territorians! You’ll find places like Maguk, Jim Jim Falls, Umbrawarra Gorge, Dundee Beach, Lorella Springs, Standley Chasm, Simpsons Gap, and many others scattered across it.
The Top End section is dominated by tropical forests, wooded savannah and winding river systems. Important National Parks and protected areas like Litchfield, Kakadu, Judbarra, Limmen and Arnhem Land are highly detailed, while the coastline is studded with island clusters, including Croker Island, Groote Eylandt, Elcho Island and others.
The Central Australia portion of the map features the Macdonnell Ranges, with individual markers for many of its main peaks, including Mount Zeil, Sonder, Liebig, and others. Kata Tjuta and Uluru have been drawn to reflect their unique topographical shape. Areas of interest such as Kings Canyon, Ormiston Gorge, Simpsons Gap and Lawrence Gorge have also been included.
The Northern Territory is home to many First Nations people, and I have done my best to include as many as possible, including markers for Larakia, Arrernte, Pitjantjatjara, Luritja, Pintupi, Warlpiri, Warumungu, Wakaya, Yangman, Wardaman and Yolngu lands. Whenever possible I have used the First Nations name for a township, and this is especially apparent in the Central Australia region.
It all combines to make for a well balanced and diverse map that showcases the unique geography and townships of the Northern Territory. It was an absolute pleasure to draw!
